Shae Marshall remained on the USS Atlantis continuously until applying to, being accepted for, and attending Starfleet's Officer Candidate School. Immediately upon completion of that course and initial officer training, she returned to the Atlantis, the total absence having lasted just under eleven months. She served continuously on the Atlantis where Paul Marshall was soon reassigned after a three-year planetside tour that saw the couple apart. Paul ascended to command of the USS Atlantis at the prior captain's retirement from the position of Executive Officer.

    Personal History:
Some twenty five years ago, Spartan had made his way to Deneb IV and befriended a race of people known as the Bandi. He had hoped to escape to a quiet world and take a break from the many wars he had fought in, however, the Bandi had been enslaved by the Orion Syndicate for sometime, and forced to mine Tri-Argonite, often until they died. Spartan helped the Bandi, but refused to lead them in their successful revolt against the Syndicate, choosing to remain out of the fighting. He soon became the mate of Kianan, a young chieftain of the warrior caste, but left her when she became increasingly bloodthirsty. Unknown to him, she was carrying his child, Shae'nok Rhea.

Shae grew far more quickly than the other Bandi children and possessed superior intellect and physical capabilities. Because her mother was a famous hero she enjoyed a good deal of respect, and because of her genetic predisposition towards fighting, she rapidly became a fearless warrior in her caste. However, she never felt like she belonged with the Bandi, and left Deneb IV as soon as she could. Since that time she had hired Locators to seek out the elusive Spartan and finally managed to reach him at Deep Space 9. She now hope to make him proud of her and some day join Starfleet.

She enjoys and studies Bandi kickboxing, wrestling, and other intense exercise and studying. Shae'nok has shown an incredible ability to quickly learn languages, sometimes beginning to learn the basics of grammar in a single day. She can adequately substitute for a universal translator at times as necessary. How she has this ability is not known but is under study by Starfleet medical, and she can speak fluently in Federation Standard, Denebian, Bandi, Romulan, Tholian, and is learning more continuously.

Personal Characteristics
    Appearance:
Shae Marshall, serial number XB 999-83843, is five foot, 9 inches tall, 161 lbs. with pale, light blue eyes and white blonde hair. She has a small and nimble build (very high bone and muscle density accounts for weight) and is very light-skinned. She has no allergies or major medical problems; her blood type is DR-negative.

    Personality:
Shae'nok Rhea is a bright and energetic young lady. Given her relatively unsophisticated upbringing in a non-Federation civilization, she shows a remarkable ability to adapt and cope with her new life aboard a starship. She can be aggressive and stubborn, but as she is still young, and it is believed that she will grow out of this phase in her emotional development. She will need guidance and proper education, but with regular sessions she will be able to successfully integrate into the crew and into Federation society.

She seems to share a part of her father's empathic sense, and has used this ability to become a good judge of character. Her high intelligence as well as strong sense of respect and duty, set her apart from adolescents of equal development. Overall she shows a wisdom above her years, but lacks the life experiences to complement this advantage fully.

Except for a few outward Bandi characteristics, Shae'nok Rhea appears to be a late adolescent human female. Because of her gen-human side, she has higher normal strength, speed and intelligence to both average Bandi and Humans, but not to a super human degree. Whether her physical capabilities will increase as she matures is unknown at this time. She also possesses a higher density of bone and muscle mass than normal for either species. Having been raised in the warrior caste on Deneb IV, she is in excellent physical condition, and has taken to body building to enhance her endurance.

As with most young individuals, Shea can be temperamental and stubborn, but is quick to realize when she is being unreasonable. For the most part she is very pleasant, and extremely respectful of others and their cultural stations. She is very curious and inquisitive, but makes certain never to impose or annoy those in positions of importance.

Shea enjoys physical exercise, especially Bandi Kickboxing and wrestling. She spends a great deal of time studying and learning, hoping to one day become a member of Starfleet, and can be found practically anywhere with a PADD in her hand. She does not sleep as normal humans do, but must spend at least two hours out of every twenty six, in a meditative trance. Because of this, she is often engaged in many activities during the day, when her duties permit.

Shae's favorite color is red, she dislikes weapons but can fight expertly with her hands and body, and disikes Deceit of any sort. She is a mamber of the Bandi Warrior Caste. Her favorite book used to be The Crewman's Handbook by Starfleet Command, but now finds her favorite book is The Officer's Handbook, also put together and published by Starfleet Command. Her Keirsey temperment has been evaluated as SJ/ISTJ, the Guardian/Inspector (I+8 S+20 T+18 J+20)

    Family:
Marshall's husband is Paul Marshall. Her parents are John Spartan - whereabouts unknown and possibly deceased) and Kianan, a Bandi woman who is believed killed during the battles ousting the Orions from Deneb IV. She currently has no children. Shae believes and accepts that she may never have children due to her husband's career but desperately would like to have a daughter and perhaps a second child, ideally a son to balance out the family. She has no pets.

    Spiritual:
Shae is a follower of the Denebian Triad traditions.

"To conquer without risk is to triumph without glory."
